The notes are pleasant overall, but it's more sweet than I would prefer. The sherry cask comes on a bit too strong, overpowering the single malt. It isn't bad though, it would be nice with desert.

I wasn’t aware of this brand before, but took a chance based solely on the gorgeous package. WOW, what a pleasant surprise! Beautiful notes of ginger, vanilla and baking spices with a dark chocolate finish. The non-chill filtering makes it a lot silkier and full-bodied than most other Irish whiskies I’ve tried. Definitely worth a shot

I must admit, I enjoy the products marketed by this distiller! I really have never had a clinker and this one is sure to please, I think it punches above its price, has a nice nose of fruit and caramel, and then finishes with a smooth burn. Well, I would say this is a very nice whiskey, one to stock in your bar. I was not familiar with this one so picked up a bottle, and I am very happy! I think the Sherry cask finish really rounds this one out and makes it a comfortable, cozy sip on a cold winter night. It may be a TAD overpriced compared to others that are just as tasty for less, but you should be happy if you purchase a bottle.

It has a powerful presence to the nose up front and in the initial taste, but the finish is quite nice and if you're not careful can provide a false sense of security if you get too comfortable with it. It does not take much to pack a punch. \
\
The flavor does not come off as Whiskey, Vodka or Tequila, it seems to stand on it's own as a spirit, or a combination of the aforementioned three.\

Green Spot is tied with Redbreast 12 for being my favorite Irish Whisky around the $50-60 mark. To me the nose is heavy with green apple, cloves, even some light banana bread or coconut. All of these carry over in the taste, which is incredibly smooth and like Redbreast is a wonderful mix of the typical Irish biscuit notes and a heavy portion of fruit, like the nose Green Spot reminds me of green apples and light tropical fruits. This is a sourced blend, bottled by a distillery that is building their own whiskey still with plans to begin making their own spirit in late 2021. If you expect a "traditional" Irish (such as Jameson or Red Breast), or if you expect a "peated irish" like Connemara, you'll be surprised - pleasantly so, I hope. The peat notes are gentle and herbal, especially on the nose, compared to the briny smoke you get in Islay Scotch. I believe this may be because Irish peat has different vegetation than much of Scottish peat. The label does not give the mash bill (it just says "peated single malts with soft grain"), but I wouldn't be surprised if there is more than just barley in there. Moderately complex, there are several notes to be discovered. Definitely worth a try.

I ordered a sample of this whiskey as part of a tasting set from Flaviar, and boy was I pleasantly surprised. This is going in my liquor cabinet, as it is much more palatable than Jack Single Barrel, and costs a bit less.\

it is slightly sweet (which I like) so if you like Makers Mark (which is my fallback when I'm out bar hopping as you can usually get it as a top shelf whiskey in most dive bars) you will love this.\

Nice nose, hints of vanilla and fall fruits (peaches, pears, apples, unusual for a whiskey, normally I'd expect that with wines) with some cardamom and allspice hints underneath.\

It's very, very smooth, especially since it is 90 proof, velvety on the tongue with a long finish, vanilla and slight caramel tones with some fall spice flavor (nutmeg, cardamom, pumpkin spices) which would make it great during the holidays. Nice silky mouthfeel, long finish, only a slight burn on the first sip (it is 90 proof), but that fades quickly. Nice complexity for a whiskey that costs less than $40 a bottle generally, worth the upgrade from Makers for sure, as it is alot more interesting.\

I don't think I've enjoyed a whiskey more, at this price point. It will be interesting to see if they ever release a version that is aged significantly longer, because it would probably be sublime.

Best Tasting Whiskey Ever\
\
This Irish whiskey is phenomenal. I've been to the area in Glendalough, Ireland where it is made and it is a magical place. No wonder such exceptional ingredients evolve from such an incredible beautiful and mystical place in the world. It is worth every penny and every glass is strong and sharp to the taste, but the smoothest and easiest to drink whiskey I've ever tasted. Highly, highly recommended.

There’s a very strong vanilla flavor (artificial or concentrated) that definitely seems to be added for flavor. It’s better than plastic bottle whiskeys, but for the price you should just pick up something else.

My favorite pot still whiskey\

I'm a big fan of everything Powers makes, but Three Swallow is my go to. Sure, John's Lane is probably an overall better whiskey (and the awards say as much) but, to me, Three Swallow is perfect for any occasion. Bourbon fans take note - this whiskey is smooth and luscious with a finish that is reminiscent of it's American cousins but more refined and with much less heat. My favorite pot still whiskey, hands down.

A Love/Hate Relationship\

Jameson and I have been enjoying and not enjoying each others company since we first met in Savannah, Georgia at a Irish Pub back in 2009. I had been feeling under the weather due to the partaking in liquid festivities the evening before and needed to sit down for a little "hair of the dog" The bartender overheard me complaining about how I felt and came over with what he described as, "the remedy" It was Jameson with just a drop of buttershots with an OJ chaser. Long story short, after that, Jameson came home with me back to Monroe, Mi and as a bartender as well I introduced him to many a friend or passed byer just as the kind bartender in Savanah did, but I changed the name of the shot to "Breakfast at Tiffany's" It has been a success!
